The majority of Kissing-Bug Press’s work is carefully hand printed on a 1909 Chandler & Price old style platen press. With its graceful curved spoke flywheel, this cast iron thing of beauty weighs 1,200lbs and is manually powered by a foot treadle.
 For larger projects a 1970 Vandercook SP-20 flatbed proof press is used. The Vandercook allows me to
print posters up to 16” x 22” with larger flats of color. Kissing-Bug Press also has a growing collection of vintage metal and wood type, lead ornaments and cuts, hand-carved linoleum blocks, vintage printing equipment, and typographic ephemera.
